Why Windsor is different from a big metro auction
Click costs in Windsor are meaningfully lower than Toronto, Mississauga or the Detroit metro, which is good news and a trap at the same time. Cheap clicks make waste easy to ignore, because the monthly invoice still looks reasonable even when half the spend went to searches that could never book work.
The other Windsor specific issue is the border. Location targeting that uses a simple radius around downtown pulls in a large amount of Michigan traffic that you cannot serve. Setting presence based targeting and excluding the Detroit side is usually the single fastest fix in a Windsor account.
Neighbourhoods and towns I target for Windsor clients
Windsor proper is only part of the picture. Depending on your service radius I build separate targeting and bidding for South Windsor, Walkerville, Riverside, East Windsor, Sandwich, LaSalle, Tecumseh, Amherstburg, Belle River, Lakeshore, Essex, Kingsville, Leamington and Chatham Kent.
Splitting these out matters because drive time changes what a lead is worth. A furnace call in South Windsor and the same call in Leamington are not the same job once you account for an hour of truck time, and your bids should reflect that.
Google Ads and Local Services Ads together
For Windsor home service businesses, Google Local Services Ads often occupy the very top of the results page, above the regular search ads and the map pack. Running only one of the two leaves the page half covered.
I manage both. That means keeping your Google Guaranteed profile in good standing, disputing leads that were wrong number or out of area, and making sure search campaigns are not paying premium prices for the exact searches Local Services Ads already wins.
Flat fee, month to month, no percentage of spend
Management is a flat monthly fee from $500 to $3,000 depending on your ad spend tier. There is no percentage of spend, so I have no reason to push your budget up before the account is earning it. Agreements are month to month with 30 days written notice to cancel.
I also offer a $500 one time account audit and $250 one hour coaching sessions if you would rather keep management in house and just get a second set of eyes on the account.
